Most studios re-run the same timetable term after term — the same children in the same slots. The Term Planner turns that end-of-term rebooking slog into one review pass: it proposes next term’s timetable from this term’s, you untick anyone who’s leaving, and it creates the whole term in one go.
Where it lives
Term Planner is its own item in the left sidebar, just under the Calendar (/term-planner).
Before you start
The planner rolls lessons into a term, so the target term needs to exist first. Add next term’s dates under Settings → Organisation → Academic terms — see set your terms and closure dates. (You can preview against custom dates without a term set up, but committing the rollover needs the real term.)
Roll the term
- Open Term Planner and pick the target term — the one you’re rolling into.
- Review the proposed timetable. Each row is a student in their current slot, carried forward — same day, same time, same teacher.
- Untick anyone who isn’t continuing, and anyone whose slot needs to change (you’ll rebook those by hand on the Calendar afterwards).
- Create the term. LessonLoop books every ticked lesson for the whole term in one pass, skipping your closure dates as usual.
Nothing is created until that final step — picking a term and reviewing the list changes nothing, so you can open it early and have a look around.
Good to know The Term Planner books the timetable; it doesn't message families or take payment. Whether families are asked "are you carrying on?" first is the separate term continuation run — its card appears on your Calendar as term-end approaches, and confirmed responses feed the next term.
