Your students are one import; your week is another. The schedule importer takes a calendar feed or file and turns it into real LessonLoop lessons — so you’re not retyping a term’s timetable to switch systems.
Where it lives
Settings → Advanced → Timetable import (calendar feed).
Give it your calendar
Two ways in:
- Calendar link — paste a
webcal://orhttps://calendar link and choose Preview. - Upload a file — an
.icsfile works just as well.
Moving from MyMusicStaff? The importer tells you exactly where to look: Find your link under Calendar → Options → Sync Calendar → Other Calendars → copy the ICS link.
One teacher at a time
Feeds are per-teacher, so import each teacher’s feed separately. On the preview you tell LessonLoop These lessons belong to — pick the teacher — and everything in that feed lands on them.
Check the preview before committing
Nothing is imported until you say so. The preview shows what was found, lets you decide what maps where, and lets you mark anything you don’t want with Don’t import.
If your source calendar carries closure entries, the importer offers to bring them across as closure dates too — so your school holidays don’t need re-entering by hand.
Lessons without times If the source has all-day entries — common for in-school teaching, where the running order is decided on the day — they come in as untimed lessons and appear as school registers rather than invented time slots. See registers without fixed times.
Students first
Import your roster before your timetable so lessons can attach to real students — see import your students from a spreadsheet. If you’d rather not do any of it yourself, the team will do the migration for you, free, on any plan.
