Families don’t sign themselves up — you invite them. That keeps your roster yours, and means a parent never has to guess which studio account is theirs.
Send the invitation
Open the student, find the guardian, and choose Invite to portal.
One of two things happens, and LessonLoop tells you which:
- Invitation emailed — the guardian gets the invite, and the link is copied to your clipboard as well.
- Invitation link ready — if there’s no email on file, the link is copied to your clipboard so you can send it however you like: WhatsApp, text, or in person.
Opening the link takes the parent straight into their family’s portal and sets up their sign-in — no account creation for them to puzzle over.
What they get access to
Their own family only: their children’s schedule, invoices and payments, messages with you, practice, and any resources you’ve shared. See using the parent portal for the parent’s view.
Siblings
A guardian linked to several children sees them all under one login — invite once, not once per child. Link each child to the same guardian from the student’s profile and the portal does the rest.
Setting up quietly? If you're still building your roster and don't want families hearing from LessonLoop yet, pause parent notifications first — see set up without emailing families.
