Some families read WhatsApp and nothing else. It’s an optional paid channel, so it works on a prepaid wallet: you buy credits, messages draw them down, and free push and email carry on regardless.
Early access WhatsApp is rolling out studio by studio. If the wallet isn't in your Settings yet, email hello@lessonloop.net and the team will tell you where your studio sits.
Where it lives
Settings → Communications → WhatsApp messaging & wallet.
Turn it on
The switch reads Send reminders over WhatsApp — An optional paid channel. Free push & email always remain on as the fallback.
Top up
The wallet shows your balance in credits, with a plain-English translation underneath: roughly how many WhatsApp messages that leaves you. Under Top up, pick a pack and select Buy — checkout is handled securely by Stripe, the same as any other payment.
Every credit movement is listed underneath, so you can see what was spent and when.
You can’t overspend
This is the whole point of the prepaid design, in LessonLoop’s own words: You only ever spend what you’ve pre-bought — at zero, WhatsApp pauses and reminders fall back to free push & email automatically. You can never overspend.
There’s no subscription for it, no bill that arrives later, and no way to accidentally run up a message bill while you’re asleep.
